House Sports Competitions

Inter-House Sainsbury’s School Games Competition – Rounders

In term 6 we are holding a rounders tournament. This is open to children from year 2 to year 6. We have one match left to play and the results will be up soon.

Inter-House Sainsbury’s School Games Competition – Boccia

In term 5 we held a Boccia tournament for children in Reception and Key Stage 1. Each house selected a mixed team with girls and boys and Year 6 helped out as team managers. The teams competed well and in very good spirits and all showed the Sainsbury’s school games values.

First Inter-House Sainsbury’s School Games Competition – Football

Term 4 saw the very first of our termly Inter-House sports competitions with this term’s sport chosen as football by the School Council. Each house has chosen a mixed team with girls and boys from each year group of Key Stage 2. The teams have played 5-a-side football matches against each other to discover who will win the trophy for best football team 2014-15 and best team spirit for term 4.

In this competition other houses have helped when not playing. Many different people have been lines people, crowd control, talent spotters, commentator and even goal line technologists! All the helpers have been brilliant and shown humility by giving up their time to be involved. A big thank you also goes to Miss Spain and Mr Hood for being referees!

These are the results so far with one match to play:

Copse 4: Grove 0

Heath 2: Spinney 0

Heath 2: Copse 1

Spinney 2: Grove 0

Copse 1: Spinney 1
