Our Class Reading Book
Children in Need PJ Day:
As voted for by the school council, today we wore our PJs to school to raise money for Children in Need. The children (and teachers!) spent the day dressed up in a colourful array of PJs- with everyone staying awake for the whole day. In the afternoon, we attended the ‘Tackley Cinema’ as part of our fundraising challenge. The whole school has raised over £300! Well done everyone!
As part of our Viking topic Harborne class have been making Viking helmets.
We have learnt that Viking Helmets did not have horns on, which surprised us all, and that a nose shield was very important.
In Maths some children have been making 3D shapes using straws and blu tack, look at the concentration!
In Literacy we have been using the iPads to create E-books on how to train a dragon.
Sound in science:
In Science we used telephones to communicate and understand vibrations. We whispered something to our friend and we tried to to work out what they were saying, using the vibrations.
Marvellous Marble Maze Mission:
What a great day we had, designing and building a marble mazes where the marble must take as long as possible for the marble to travel from start to finish. By 11am the floor was covered in card and plastic and there was a sudden shortage on masking tape but all the children were engaged in this lovely science challenge and a great day was had by all.
