On Wednesday 6th March, we held our own ‘World Book Day’ which was a huge success. The children thoroughly enjoyed their day as there were many activities to get involved in. One of the activities was a ‘Book Cover Hunt’ where the children were looking around the school for book covers, which also had a letter on. The children had to unscramble the letters to find the hidden word. Another activity was where the children were paired up with other children from different classes to read to each other. They were allowed to go anywhere in the school and read – it really was a very special sight. A final highlight was the activity in the afternoon where the children were split into the 4 houses and acted out a story. No doubt inspiration for reading was given from today.
