Nethercote Class Canal Trip

As a part of our geographical topic this term, Nethercote class took a visit to the Thrupp canal for a morning. Here, we walked along the canal spotting physical and human features and enjoyed taking in the scenery around us. Luckily the sun was shining and there was no rain to be seen! The children were very sensible about walking alongside the canal and often helped one another when we needed to walk in a straight line. We even took a visit to Annie’s Tea Rooms where we were lucky enough to have a biscuit and some squash as a treat. As the scenery was so lovely, the children took time drawing a ‘still-life’ drawing of the canal and the canal boats – there are some wonderful artists. Overall, it was a lovely morning and Miss Murphy thoroughly enjoyed taking Nethercote class out for the morning.
