On Friday 24th June, the children at Tackley took part in a ‘Best of British Day’ celebrating the Queens 90th Birthday and all things British. During the morning, children took part in a range of activities which celebrated Britain including art work, geography and learning the National Anthem. As part of our assembly, the PTA and Parish Council kindly presented each child with a commemorative coin marking the Queens 90th birthday. We then had a whole school picnic on the field for lunch. In true British style, we had planned a whole school rounders tournament however rain stopped play! Hopefully next year the weather will be in our favour!
