Our Year 6 children visited the Horton Hospital for the Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools (I.M.P.S.) this morning. I.M.P.S. empowers young people to take personal responsibility for their own risk management and equips them with the skills to cope in an emergency situation. The team at the hospital discussed injury prevention, demonstrated basic first aid procedures as well as teaching the children emergency life skills.
